Join us Wednesday, February 24th at 1:00pm EST for an ASPIRE DESIGN AND HOME webinar with industry leaders and Sustainable Furnishings Council Ambassadors, Laura Hodges, Laurence Carr and John Douglas Eason. This group of established interior designers will be joined by SFC’s Executive Director, Susan Inglis where they will discuss the climate of America’s environmental injustices.

This webinar is focused on what we can do as a community to take the steps in our businesses or homes to crusade for a healthier planet.

Since the murder of George Floyd this summer, we are constantly reminded that environmental justice should be a focus for each of us. We must use our platform to shine a light on environmental injustices in our communities. Such as bringing attention to BIPOC communities having higher exposure rates to air pollution, closer proximity to landfills, and more lead contaminated tap water.

So, is racism the root cause of climate change? No, but its persistence in our society is a key part of an extractive, exploitative and inequitable economic system, which is unsustainable. We need a more ecological and egalitarian model. The time to transition to a fair, clean energy economy is now.

Please join us Wednesday, February 24th at 1:00pm EST for this very seminal conversation!
